After recovery of AKs, pistol and cartridges, Hazaribagh police had successfully raised the curtains from the much talked about arms theft case but when it was busy in solving this case a serious challenge has been put before. Miscreants have abducted two persons within 10 days time who yet to be traced.
The first abduction was made at Keredari Block where unknown gunmen abducted a young businessman Santosh Sao, son Buddhan Sao, in broad daylight on November 25. After taking Santosh on gun point the criminals forcibly took him into a Bolero and fled away towards the forest. They sent the Bolero back from the forest and since then there is no trace of Santosh. In this case there are talks in the block that JPC ultras have abducted Santosh as he had not paid the levy amount charged on him for his klin.
On December 5 another businessman, a hardware shop owner Jyoti Kumar, son of Pradeep Kumar, was abducted in the evening from Mashipirhi which is hardly 1km away from Muffasil PS. In this case too the criminals took him on gunpoint and fled on a Mahindra Maximo vehicle. In this case too police is still empty handed.
Rural DSP Satish Chandra Jha said that in Keredari case they have not yet got any clues while in Mashipirhi case DSP Ratneshwar Thakur claims that they have got some clues and links and very soon they will solve the case.
In the meantime the Bokaro police have recovered the body of abducted student Sudhanshu Kumar of Bokaro with the help of Hazaribagh police from Kashiatand area of Gorhar PS of Barkattha block. Bokaro police has arrested an accused Satish Mishra and on his information both Bokaro and Hazaribagh police launched a search operation along NH-2 in Gorhar PS area.
