Plus III admission: First cutoff list out

The BJB Junior College, Bhubaneswar stood top in the first cutoff mark list for all the three streams of the Plus III courses announced by the Department of Higher Education (DHE) here on Wednesday for admission to the Plus III courses in the colleges across the State. The students can take admission from July 1, said the official sources.

The cutoff marks are available on the website of the DHE, the sources said.

For the Science stream, the cutoff mark of the BJB college was recorded at 89.08 per cent followed by 86.33 per cent in the Basic Science College. The cutoff mark in the Ramadevi Women’s Autonomous College was 85.67 per cent, whereas 81.67 per cent for the Khallikote College, 81.4 per cent for the FM College, 81 per cent for the GM College and 78.02 per cent for the Sailabala Women’s College.

In Commerce, the cutoff marks for the BJB college was at 81.5 per cent while those for other colleges were as follows: Ramadevi 71.17 per cent, Khallikote 70.17 per cent, SCS College 61.83 per cent, FM College 59.33 per cent, GM College 60.17 per cent, and Vikram Dev College 43.17 per cent.

In Arts, the cutoff marks for various leading colleges were: BJB 66.17 per cent, Ramadevi 58.46 per cent, Khallikote 56.17 per cent, FM 61.8 per cent, GM 62.67 per cent, Vikram Dev 49.05 per cent, SCS 61.17 per cent and Sailabala 60.5 per cent.

The admission process for the Plus II courses started from Wednesday. The selected students in the first cutoff list have to join, failing which they will not be allowed to take admission further. To get more information regarding admission, the students can visit nearby SAMS resources centres. The department has opened 477 SAMS resource centres across the State.
