Marandi to SCs, STs: Recognise your strength

Sunday, 22 December 2013 | RR Srivastava | Hazaribagh

Every party has used you as vote banks, no one gave you the share in power which you deserve, please recognise your strength, come with us and get more than what you deserve. This was the statement made by the supremo of Jharkhand Vikash Morcha Babulal Marandi in his address in party’s Scheduled Castes Mahasammelan organised at Hazaribagh on Saturday, December 21.

Babulal Marandi believes that in Jharkhand the population of Scheduled Tribes is 28 per cent and Scheduled Caste is more than 12 per cent. If you both will join hands then you can rule, form a Government here. If JVM will come in power in the State next time then we will constitute Scheduled Castes’ commission, finance committee for Scheduled Castes etc. for your betterment, he promised.

Stressing upon the need of education Marandi said that for uplift of society higher education is must nowadays. He promised to open more medical, engineering, polytechnic and other colleges for the benefit of Scheduled Castes so that the students of this weaker society can get higher education near to their home. He also promised financial support to those students of the society who wish to study in the best institutes of India or abroad if his party forms State Government.

The president of Scheduled Castes cell of the party Prabhat Kumar Bhuinyan said that every party has betrayed us and it was Marandi only who had started several welfare schemes for the benefit of society during his short tenure as Chief Minister of this state. He appealed to the members of his society to assemble under the umbrella of JVM for better future.

Pradeep Yadav, Dr. Saba Ahmad, Dr. KP Sharma, Gautam Sagar Rana, Chandranath Bhai Patel, Dulal Bhuinyan, Yogendra Pratap Singh, Arjun Yadav and some other leaders also addressed the gathering at Zila School Ground. Vishal Kumar Valmiki anchored the programme.
