Gian Sagar Hospital was inaugurated here in the presence of a galaxy of medical specialists and other eminent citizens of the city.

located in the Giani lal Singh Complex on the Income Tax Road, the new hospital inaugurated by Harsatinder Singh Hayer, offers multi-specialty and super-specialty services besides having facilities of intensive care, dialysis, and physiotherapy.

Dr Sukhwinder Singh, Vice-Chairman of the Gian Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust, and Harnam Singh, President of the trust, said that super specialists had been posted at the hospital who would be available for consultation in the outdoor ward.

The hospital has arrangements for treatment of emergencies and an intensive care unit had been set up which is headed by highly trained professionals.

Dr AS Sekhon, Dean of the Gian Sagar Group of Institutions, said the hospital is equipped with modern amenities including an emergency wing and intensive care unit which have started functioning round the clock on all days of the week.

The USP of the new hospital is its affordability and ethical working.

He said the hospital has an advanced eyecare centre, 24-hour emergency services and world-class equipment for patient care.

The hospital also offers for the first time in Patiala an Infertility Clinic.

Dr Sekhon said that the new hospital has all other specialties in addition to super specialties which would provide treatment to the patients under one roof.

The hospital is also equipped with state of the art laboratories with facility of all advanced investigations.

The Gian Sagar Group of Institutions is already running a multi-specialty hospital at Ram Nagar, near Banur, on the Patiala-Chandigarh road.

The other institutes include a dental college, nursing college for girls, college of physiotherapy, and institute of hospitality and management.
