Chhattisgarh Congress Party would hold a public meeting to observe the death anniversary of Mini Mata at Ahivara on Monday. State Congress Party spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi informed that top State party leaders including Chhattisgarh in-charge BK Hariprasda, State Party President Dr Charandas Mahant, leader of Congress legislative group Ravindra Choubey, Bhupesh Baghel, President of the Scheduled Caste Wing of theparty Ramlal Bharadwaj and other officer bearers would take part in the meeting.
Trivedi further said late Mini Mata had dedicated her entire life for fighting against poverty, illiteracy and backwardness. She was always conscious towards labourer interests and women education. She raised a firm voice in Parliament against social evils like child marriage and dowry. “She had a remarkable contribution for availing jobs to local residents in Bhilai Steel Plant,” Trivedi said.
Meanwhile, the death anniversary of Mini Mata was observed in Raipur where rich tributes was paid to her. A program memorising Mini Mata was held at Town Hall Raipur in which Congress State President Dr Charan Das Mahant, Mayor Raipur Kiranmayee Nayak along with other took part.
