Imagine a university having 35,000 plus students running with just 28 fourth grade staff . This university is none other than Nilamber Pitamber university in Daltonganj. Established in 2009 this university is struggling and struggling. 

There are 235 sanctioned posts of the fourth grade staff. It broadly includes peons, drivers etc.

As against the sanctioned posts of 235 fourth staff, only 28 are working. 

Out of the 28 fourth grade staff only 14 are in the offices of the Nilamber Pitamber university while the remaining 14 are in four constituent colleges and one government college.

With such a skeleton force for human resources this university is panting. Work culture is wanting in the Nilamber Pitamber university. 

Sources said the university is dependent on an outsourcing agency. Here too there is a great mess.

The outsourcing agency cheats the engager/ user here at the Nilamber Pitamber university and the worker both. 

The outsourcing agency violates the condition most blatantly. Here it is. It presses in less staff and makes bigger demand for the wages of the higher number of the workers. 

Again the wages that the outsourcing agency gets from the engager/ user is given less to its workers. 

The worker of the outsourcing agency gets caught between the engager and the agency. 

As 207 posts of the fourth grade staff are vacant in the Nilamber Pitamber university, it may be filled with its poor students who are either graduates or post graduates. 

These poor graduates and post graduates have no fortune and no future. This university can save its own inmates from further poverty.

Last year the civil courts in Daltonganj made appointments for its fourth grade staff and here came well qualified people.

This university can set an example for its poor pass outs to earn a livelihood by working here as fourth grade staff. Dignity of labour is more important than anything else. No post is big or small. It's the man who makes the difference.

Those eligible pass outs who qualify for assistant professors are equally welcome here.

No graduate or post graduate should feel any belittle if working as fourth grade since it's far more useful and important to be in the job and earning than to be jobless and penniless.
