Technical Glitch Delays CUET-UG 2026 at Some Centres, NTA Issues Revised Exam Timing

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced revised timings for CUET-UG 2026 at several exam centres after a technical glitch delayed the commencement of the examination.
The issue, reportedly caused by a service disruption at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), affected the start of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) at select centres on May 30, 2026. The problem has since been resolved, and examinations are being conducted with compensatory arrangements to ensure no candidate is disadvantaged.
According to NTA, candidates appearing in the afternoon session will now report from 2:30 PM, while the examination will begin at 4:00 PM instead of the earlier scheduled 3:00 PM.
For morning-session candidates, the agency confirmed that they are being given the full duration of the paper and will only be allowed to leave after completing the exam to maintain fairness.
The NTA also expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to students and parents, while assuring that all necessary steps have been taken to prevent academic loss due to the delay.
CUET-UG is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admissions into undergraduate programmes across central, state, and private universities in India.
The agency further noted that revised schedules have already been issued for certain rescheduled exams, with additional test dates set for May 31, June 6, and June 7, 2026.
