Sunita Kangra named head of Safai Karmchari Commission

Government has reconstituted the Safai Karmchari Commission, appointing former mayor Sunita Kangra as its chairperson along with two part-time members, a Delhi CMO statement said on Wednesday.

Manoj Kumar and Sushant Sagar are the part-time members of the newly constituted Delhi Commission for Safai Karamcharis, it said. CM Rekha Gupta expressed confidence that these appointments would enable the Commission to function in a more proactive, effective and people-centric manner, giving fresh momentum to initiatives aimed at protecting the rights and advancing the welfare of safai karamcharis.

The Delhi Government has also appointed doctors Ajay Kumar, Hansraj Baveja, SK Tandon and Vinod Kumar Monga as members of the Delhi Medical Council, Delhi CMO said in a post on X.

The Council plays an important role in maintaining quality, transparency, and medical ethics in healthcare services in the city.
