Yogi asks DMs, SPs to monitor every small incident, act promptly

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday asked district magistrates and police chiefs to closely monitor "every small incident" and ensure that senior administrative and police officers immediately reach the spot to hear the grievances of victims.

At a 'Janata Darshan' held at his official residence at 5 Kalidas Marg, Adityanath met people from different districts and listened to their problems. He said negligence or indifference while dealing with minor incidents would not be tolerated.

According to an official statement, he said people attempting to create discord in society often try to turn small incidents into bigger ones. He therefore directed district magistrates and SPs to personally monitor every such incident.

The chief minister asked officials to promptly reach the spot, hear the affected people's concerns and take action against those responsible according to law so that the matter is resolved.

During the 'Janata Darshan', Adityanath also directed officials to ensure that grievances related to administration, police, revenue, electricity and other departments are resolved within a fixed timeframe.

He said the government was ensuring that genuine grievances were addressed without discrimination. He also asked officials to work with sensitivity and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of welfare schemes.

Adityanath further instructed officials to make arrangements for the treatment of patients and take stringent action against land mafias and influential people involved in wrongdoing.  (with inputs from PTI)
