Woman entrepreneur alleges harassment by 'CM Revanth aide' over advertising tenders

A woman entrepreneur has alleged on social media that a person she described as a close aide of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asked her to visit a guest house to discuss advertising tenders she had applied for.

K Shoba Reddy, 38, who runs Mithuna Ads in Hyderabad, raised the allegations in a post on X, tagging the chief minister, his office and other government handles.

Reddy said she had been pursuing advertising opportunities for nearly three years and had submitted revenue-sharing proposals for temporary work until regular tenders were called.

She also alleged that certain unauthorised advertising structures continued to operate despite notices and relaxations.

Raising concerns over the manner in which the matter was being handled, Reddy said she was asked to visit a guest house when she sought to discuss the issue with a person she believed was closely associated with the chief minister.

She said she was seeking equal treatment, dignity and transparent business channels rather than any special favour, and did not make a direct personal allegation against the individual in her social media post.

The allegations come against the backdrop of a case registered by Banjara Hills Police in May following a complaint by Reddy against a person identified as Vijay Reddy.

According to the complaint, the dispute began after Reddy posted on X and approached the Lokayukta over alleged illegal advertising boards. She alleged that Vijay Reddy and others subsequently abused and targeted her.

The complaint relates to an April 29 incident at a juice centre in Banjara Hills, where Reddy alleged that Vijay Reddy threatened her and claimed political backing, including from MLC Balmoor Venkat.

Police subsequently registered Crime No. 404/2026 under provisions relating to criminal intimidation and outraging the modesty of a woman.

Venkat, however, denied any connection with the incident or the accused.

"Vijay Reddy is not my brother. He is a Congress party worker. The dispute is between the two. I have nothing to do with this," Venkat said, adding that he had neither met Reddy nor was aware of the details of her allegations.
