Kunal Kemmu's 'Vibe' crosses Rs 5 crore at domestic box office

Filmmaker-actor Kunal Kemmu's latest directorial "Vibe" has crossed the Rs 5 crore mark at the domestic box office in its first two days, according to the makers.

The film earned Rs 2.25 crore on its opening day and Rs 2.8 crore on Saturday, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 5.05 crore, a press release said.

Its worldwide collection stands at Rs 7 crore, according to the release.

"Vibe", which released on Friday, stars Kemmu alongside Preity Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava and Vanshika Dhir, among others.

The film follows two characters played by Kemmu and Shrivastava who find themselves caught up in a high-stakes mission despite having no training or experience as spies.

Produced by Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani under the banner of Drongo Films in association with Amazon MGM Studios, "Vibe" marks Kemmu's second directorial after "Madgaon Express".

"Madgaon Express", starring Kemmu, Divyenndu and Pratik Gandhi, follows three childhood friends on a chaotic trip to Goa and earned more than Rs 50 crore globally.

Kemmu will next be seen in "Golmaal 5", the fifth instalment of the popular comedy franchise, alongside Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi and Akshay Kumar.
