Viral video shows man lifted into air during deadly Uttar Pradesh storm

A terrifying video from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district has gone viral on social media, showing a man being lifted into the air by powerful storm winds as severe weather wreaked havoc across the state.
The shocking clip captures the man being swept upward along with a tin shed after strong gusts struck the area. Moments later, he is seen crashing back to the ground as stunned onlookers watch the incident unfold.
According to reports, the man has been identified as Nanhe, son of Wahid Ansari, a resident of Babiyana village in Bareilly district. The video quickly spread across social media platforms, with many users expressing shock over the intensity of the storm.

The incident comes amid widespread devastation caused by heavy rain, thunderstorms and high-speed winds across several districts of Uttar Pradesh. Official figures indicate that at least 89 people have lost their lives while more than 50 others have been injured in weather-related incidents.
Several districts, including Prayagraj, Bhadohi, Fatehpur, Sonbhadra and Bareilly, reported uprooted trees, collapsed walls, damaged houses and disrupted power supply after the storm swept through the region.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed district officials to carry out immediate relief and rescue operations. Authorities have also been instructed to assess crop and property damage and ensure compensation reaches affected families within 24 hours.
The viral video has become one of the starkest visuals emerging from the storm-hit state, highlighting the dangerous intensity of the weather conditions that battered Uttar Pradesh.
