VHP urges SIT to verify opposition leaders' claims in Ram Temple donation theft case

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has urged the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case in Ayodhya to verify statements made by Opposition leaders regarding the incident. VHP International President Alok Kumar has written to the investigating officer, requesting that leaders who publicly alleged large-scale theft or financial irregularities be questioned and asked to provide evidence supporting their claims.

According to the VHP, if any political leader possesses information related to the alleged misappropriation of temple donations, it should be shared with investigators to help ensure a fair and transparent probe. The organisation said the investigation should be based on facts and evidence rather than political allegations.

The request comes as the SIT continues to investigate alleged irregularities in the handling of donations at the Ram Temple. The case has triggered a political debate, with several Opposition parties questioning the temple trust's functioning, while the VHP has maintained that the investigation should be allowed to proceed without political interference.

Authorities have assured that appropriate action will be taken against anyone found guilty based on the findings of the probe.
