Two police personnel found dead inside car in J&K's Ramban

Two police personnel were found dead inside a car in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district late Tuesday evening, official sources said.

Head Constable Farid Ahmed and Selection Grade Constable Muhammad Yaqoob, both posted at the District Police Lines in Ramban, were found unconscious under suspicious circumstances inside a car parked at Ziarat Morh in the Sana area of Batote, the sources said.

Local residents took the two personnel to District Hospital Ramban, where doctors declared them brought dead.

The exact circumstances and cause of their deaths were not immediately known, sources said.

Police have initiated proceedings to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.  (with inputs from PTI)
