Trump makes 'one shot' claim on Iran's leadership amid rising tensions

President Donald Trump has made a strong statement about Iran, saying the United States could eliminate Iran's top leadership "with one shot" if it chose to. Speaking during the funeral ceremonies of Iran's former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Trump claimed that several senior Iranian leaders were gathered in one place and were within reach. However, he added that the U.S. would not take such action because it wants to keep diplomatic talks with Iran alive.

Trump also said that negotiations between Washington and Tehran have been temporarily paused for a week due to the mourning period in Iran. Despite his tough remarks, he indicated that the U.S. still prefers dialogue over military escalation. He also questioned the large public turnout at the funeral, expressing surprise at the scale of mourning.

The comments come at a time of heightened tensions following recent military confrontations between the two countries. While both sides continue to exchange strong rhetoric, diplomatic efforts are expected to resume after the official mourning period ends.
