T-Hub partners Indian Army to take defence startups from lab to field

T-Hub has partnered with the Central Command of the Indian Army to create a direct pathway for defence startups to develop, validate and deploy solutions for active military challenges.

Under the partnership, the Army's Central Command will share active problem statements with T-Hub, which will identify and select startups capable of addressing them. The initiative is aimed at helping founders develop technologies suited to operational requirements and advance India's defence modernisation.

A joint oversight committee will supervise the programme and coordinate engagements between the startups and Army stakeholders.

T-Hub will support startups in moving from problem statements to deployable solutions by assisting with product development, validation and market readiness. It will also work with Army stakeholders to incorporate operational feedback and ensure that solutions meet deployment requirements.

The partnership builds on T-Hub's existing association with the Western Command of the Indian Army, making it one of the few organisations in the country with direct, standing relationships at the Command level.

T-Hub is also among 28 organisations selected to implement the Ministry of Defence-led Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) scheme and is the country's largest iDEX incubator.

It has engaged with 100 defence startups and hosted 70 challenges under the iDEX programme.
