Suspended Hyderabad revenue official booked in assets case, raids unearth properties worth Rs 5 crore

A suspended revenue official in Hyderabad has been booked in a disproportionate assets case after the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) unearthed properties and valuables worth around Rs 5.05 crore during searches conducted at multiple locations.
According to the ACB, raids at the official's residence and other premises led to the recovery of three flats, two residential plots, agricultural land, cash, gold jewellery and other assets allegedly disproportionate to the officer's known sources of income. Preliminary findings indicate that the assets were accumulated during the official's tenure in government service.
The anti-graft agency has registered a case under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and launched a detailed investigation into the source of the wealth. Officials said the valuation is preliminary and the total worth of the assets may increase as the probe progresses.
The ACB is examining financial records, property documents and bank transactions to determine whether additional assets are linked to the accused. Further legal action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
