Suryastra Rockets successfully demonstrate capability to hit targets at 300 Km during trials

India has successfully conducted trials of the indigenous ‘Suryastra’ rocket system, showcasing its capability to accurately strike targets at a range of up to 300 kilometres.

Officials said the advanced rocket system met all operational parameters during the test launches, marking a significant milestone in India’s defence preparedness and indigenous weapons development programme.

The trials demonstrated the rocket system’s precision strike capability, rapid deployment features and effectiveness in long-range battlefield operations. Defence experts said the successful tests will strengthen India’s strategic and tactical firepower.

The Suryastra system has been developed with a focus on improving long-distance attack capability while ensuring high accuracy and mobility in combat situations.

Officials added that the successful demonstration reflects India’s growing emphasis on self-reliance in defence manufacturing and advanced military technology under the Make in India initiative.

The rocket system is expected to enhance the operational readiness of the armed forces and boost the country’s indigenous defence ecosystem.
