Supriya Sule rules out NDA switch, says NCP (SP) yet to decide on delimitation bill

Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Supriya Sule has firmly dismissed speculation that her party could join the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), stating that there are no discussions or plans regarding such a move. She described reports of a possible political realignment as baseless and reiterated that the party remains committed to its current position.

Speaking on the Centre's proposed Delimitation Bill, Sule said the NCP (SP) has not yet taken an official stand because the legislation has not been formally introduced. She added that the party, along with its INDIA bloc allies, will examine the contents of the bill before deciding its position.

Sule also indicated that any discussion would depend on the final provisions, including issues related to the proposed increase in parliamentary seats.

Her remarks come amid growing political speculation over possible shifts in Maharashtra's alliances ahead of key parliamentary debates. By ruling out an NDA switch while keeping the party's position on delimitation open until the bill is tabled, Sule sought to end rumours while signalling that the NCP (SP) will take a considered decision after detailed consultations.
