Samantha Ruth Prabhu confirms pregnancy, announces temporary break from films

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with husband Raj Nidimoru and will be taking a temporary break from acting for maternity leave.

Speaking during the success celebrations of her latest film Maa Inti Bangaaram, Samantha said she plans to step away from work for a while due to her pregnancy but assured fans that she will return to the big screen after the break.

The announcement ends recent speculation surrounding her pregnancy, which gained momentum after social media users pointed to her appearance during promotional events for the film.

Reflecting on her personal life, Samantha also shared her views on relationships, saying mutual effort and self-confidence are key to making a relationship work. She emphasized that individuals should feel complete in themselves rather than relying on someone else for fulfillment.

Samantha married Raj Nidimoru in December 2025 in an intimate ceremony held at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. The actor was previously married to Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021.

Directed by Nandini Reddy, Maa Inti Bangaaram has received positive reviews and performed strongly at the box office. The film also features Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale, Gautami Tadimalla and others in key roles.
