Ram Temple Trust Chief Mahant Nritya Gopal Das admitted to ICU

Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Medanta Hospital in Lucknow after being diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI).

The 89-year-old spiritual leader was brought to the hospital in an unconscious condition on June 29 and was admitted to the emergency department before being shifted to the ICU for specialised treatment.

According to a medical bulletin issued by the hospital, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das is undergoing treatment under the supervision of critical care specialists, with a team of doctors monitoring his condition round the clock. Hospital authorities said he is receiving all necessary medical care and remains under close observation.

Mahant Nritya Gopal Das is a prominent religious leader and heads the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which oversees the construction and management of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. News of his hospitalisation has prompted concern among devotees and religious organisations across the country, with many offering prayers for his speedy recovery.
