Rajasthan Congress launches 'GenZ for Change' campaign ahead of local polls

The Rajasthan Congress has launched a "GenZ for Change" campaign to engage young voters on issues such as education and employment ahead of urban local body and panchayat elections.

The Social Media and Digital Platforms Department of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee has also constituted a state-level Gen Z committee as part of the initiative.

Department chairman Sumit Bhagasra said the campaign would focus on direct interaction with students to understand their concerns, aspirations and suggestions.

Gen Z members are better placed to articulate the needs and concerns of their generation, he said.

Bhagasra said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been engaging with students through his "Chhatron Ki Goonj" programme and the new initiative would seek to expand similar interactions in Rajasthan.

"As part of the campaign, the department plans to organise programmes aimed at skill development and career guidance," he said.

The programmes will include free artificial intelligence workshops, internship opportunities with industry experts, global support for content creators, and online and offline career counselling seminars, he added.

The party will also constitute similar Gen Z committees at the district level to interact with students at colleges and universities.
