Pune Murder Case: Chats from Siya Goyal’s phones contradict her statements says police

The investigation into the alleged murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal has taken a fresh turn, with Lonavala Police claiming that chats recovered from accused Siya Goyal's mobile phones contradict the statements she has made during questioning. Investigators say the digital evidence has strengthened their case against the accused.
According to police, the recovered chats reveal inconsistencies in Siya's version of events and indicate communication that does not match her claims during interrogation. Officials are analysing the conversations alongside call records, CCTV footage and other electronic evidence to establish the sequence of events.
Police have also said that Siya Goyal and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary have given conflicting statements, with each accusing the other of planning Ketan Agarwal's murder. Investigators believe the digital evidence will play a crucial role in determining the extent of each accused's involvement in the alleged conspiracy.
Ketan Agarwal allegedly died after being pushed into a gorge at Lohagad Fort near Lonavala during a trip on June 18. What was initially treated as an accidental fall later turned into a murder investigation following the examination of CCTV footage, call records and forensic evidence. Police continue to probe the motive and the planning behind the crime.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are examining all available digital and forensic evidence before filing the final chargesheet.
