POCSO case against Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s son; counter-complaint filed

A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO Act) against Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s son, Bandi Bageerath, over allegations of sexual harassment involving a 17-year-old girl in Hyderabad.
According to police officials, the complaint was filed by the minor’s mother, who alleged that Bageerath had been harassing her daughter for several months and misbehaved with her at a farmhouse in Moinabad.
Following the complaint, Pet Basheerabad police registered a case against Bageerath under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 11 of the POCSO Act.
In a parallel development, Bageerath filed a counter-complaint with Karimnagar II Town police, alleging that the girl and her parents attempted to trap him and demanded ₹5 crore to avoid filing a false case.
He further claimed that he had earlier paid ₹50,000 under pressure but continued to receive threats of false allegations and intimidation.
Based on his complaint, police registered a separate case against the girl and her parents under provisions related to extortion, criminal intimidation, and conspiracy under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
