Just weeks after Eknath Shinde’s sensational “hit a sixer” with six Shiv Sena (UBT) Lok Sabha MPs formally crossing over, tremors are now shaking the ground beneath Uddhav Thackeray’s faction. Strong whispers echoing through Mumbai’s political corridors claim that a dozen or more MLAs from the UBT camp are gearing up to switch sides, with over 40 corporators ready to follow suit and join Shinde-led Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena ministers have already floated bold claims of “Operation Tiger 3.0,” targeting up to 14 of UBT’s 20 MLAs — the magic two-thirds number needed for another formal split. Insiders quipped, including every chaiwala in Mantralaya, that there’s a glaring lack of leadership control in the Uddhav-led Shiv Sena.
