NTA extends deadline to update bank details for NEET UG 2026 fee refund till tomorrow

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for candidates to update and verify their bank account details for the NEET UG 2026 fee refund process, giving applicants additional time to complete the correction process. The updated deadline is July 7, 2026.

According to the latest notification, the extension has been provided to ensure that all eligible candidates receive their refund without delays caused by incorrect or incomplete banking information. The agency has already begun processing refunds for candidates who have successfully verified their bank account details.

The NTA stated that a large number of candidates have already updated their bank details, while several others are still in the process of correcting or confirming their information. The refund amount is being credited directly to the bank accounts provided by candidates through the official NEET registration portal.

This refund exercise follows changes related to the NEET UG 2026 examination cycle, after which the NTA opened a dedicated window for students to submit or update their bank account details. Candidates who fail to update correct information within the revised deadline may face delays in receiving their refund.

Students have been advised to carefully check their account number, IFSC code and other banking credentials before submitting, as no further changes may be permitted after final submission. The agency has also urged candidates to rely only on the official portal for updates and avoid misinformation circulating on social media.

The NEET UG refund process remains under close monitoring, with officials aiming to complete disbursement efficiently and transparently once all valid bank details are verified.
