Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth calls on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Newly appointed Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. He was accompanied by his wife, Komal Seth, during the courtesy meeting.
The President's Office shared photographs of the meeting on social media, stating that General Dhiraj Seth and his spouse met President Murmu at the official residence of the President.
General Seth assumed office as the Chief of the Army Staff on June 30, succeeding General Upendra Dwivedi. A highly decorated officer, he brings decades of operational and command experience to the country's top Army position.
He is among the few senior military officers to have commanded two operational Army commands along India's western front, reflecting his extensive experience in handling strategic and operational responsibilities.
His appointment comes at a time when the Indian Army continues to focus on enhancing operational preparedness, modernisation, and strengthening border security amid evolving regional security challenges.
The meeting with the President marks one of General Seth's first official engagements after taking charge as the Army Chief.
