Navy Chief Admiral Krishna Swaminathan calls on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Chief of the Naval Staff Krishna Swaminathan called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, officials said.
The meeting was confirmed by the President’s office, which shared an image of the interaction on social media platform X. According to the post, Admiral Swaminathan met the President as part of a routine courtesy call following his recent appointment.
Admiral Swaminathan assumed charge as the 27th Chief of the Naval Staff on May 31, succeeding Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi after the latter completed 41 years of distinguished service in the Indian Navy.
The interaction between the President and the newly appointed Navy chief is part of customary engagements between the heads of the armed forces and the constitutional head of the country.
Officials did not disclose further details of the discussion during the meeting.
