Minister Ajanta Neog reviews DDC meeting in Kamrup

Assam’s newly appointed Guardian Minister for Kamrup district, Ajanta Neog, on Wednesday chaired a review meeting of the District Development Committee (DDC) at the conference hall of the Integrated District Commissioner’s Office, Amingaon.
Neog, who also holds the portfolios of Women & Child Development and Tourism, reviewed the functioning and progress of various developmental projects being implemented across the district.
Emphasising efficient governance, the Minister directed officials to ensure that proposals are processed within 24 hours and that no work remains pending at any level.
She urged all departments to adhere to project timelines while maintaining transparency, accountability and quality in the execution of government programmes, stressing that developmental works should not compromise on standards under any circumstances.
The Guardian Minister also instructed officials to share an overview of development activities and constituency-wise progress with the respective MLAs to facilitate better coordination and effective monitoring.
The meeting was also attended by MLA (Kamalpur) Diganta Kalita, MLA (Chamaria) Rekibuddin Ahmed, MLA (Hajo Sualkuchi) Prakash Chandra Das, District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra, Senior Superintendent of Police Subhasish Baruah, Chief Executive Officer of Kamrup Zila Parishad Siddhartha Goswami, District Development Commissioner Susanta Kumar Dutta, Additional District Commissioners, Co-District Commissioners and heads of various departments.
