Ladakh admin grants industry status to hospitality sector

The Lieutenant Governor Administration of Ladakh has decided to grant ‘industry’ status to hotels and guest houses registered with the Tourism Department, a move aimed at strengthening the region’s hospitality sector and boosting tourism-led economic growth, officials said.

Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, in a post on X, said hotels and guest houses registered with the Tourism Department in Ladakh would be accorded “industry” status, making them eligible for incentives, concessions.
