Jaipur law student in custody for mother's murder; Now accused of killing father too

A shocking new twist has emerged in the Jaipur murder case, with the maternal uncle of a 23-year-old law student accused of orchestrating her mother's murder alleging that she was also responsible for her father's death last year.

The accused, Ayushi Sharma, a final-year LLB student, is currently in police custody for allegedly conspiring to kill her mother, Neeraj Sharma, by hiring contract killers and staging the murder as a road accident. Police have said the motive behind the crime was to secure a compassionate government job and gain control of the family's property.

According to investigators, Ayushi allegedly paid Rs 7 lakh to contract killers with the help of her cousin Balram. Neeraj Sharma was fatally run over by an SUV in Jaipur on July 3, with the incident initially appearing to be a road accident before the conspiracy was uncovered.

The case has now taken a new turn after Ayushi's maternal uncle, Rakesh Sharma, alleged that she and her cousin were also involved in the death of her father, Vijay Sharma, who suffered a brain stroke last year. He claimed the duo shifted him to an unidentified hospital without informing other family members and kept his treatment hidden for nearly three months, raising suspicions over the circumstances of his death.

While these allegations have not yet been confirmed by investigators, the family has urged police to examine whether Vijay Sharma's death was linked to a larger conspiracy. Authorities have not announced any fresh charges in connection with the father's death and the investigation remains focused on the murder of Neeraj Sharma.

Police continue to investigate the case, including the alleged involvement of Ayushi's relatives and the circumstances surrounding both incidents.
