Huge fire breaks out at Alwar oil packaging plant

A massive fire broke out at an edible oil packaging factory in an industrial area near Alwar city in Rajasthan on Saturday morning (15th Aug) .

Police evacuated nearby factories as a precaution.

The blaze erupted at a factory in the Matsya Industrial Area. More than a dozen fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames, with huge flames and thick smoke visible from a distance, police said.

As the fire intensified, workers at nearby factories were evacuated to prevent losses should the blaze spread to adjoining units, officials said.

Rajasthan Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma reached the scene and spoke to officials about the situation.

No casualties have been reported as of now.
