GDA welcomes Kanwar devotees with flowers

The Meerut Road reverberated with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Bam Bam Bhole” as the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) organised a grand welcome for Kanwar devotees on Monday. A floral shower was conducted on thousands of Shiva devotees passing through Meerut Road, opposite Manan Dham, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

The programme witnessed the participation of Muradnagar MLA Ajit Pal Tyagi, Sadar MLA Sanjeev Sharma, Police Commissioner Ravindra J Gaur, Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik, GDA Vice-Chairman Nand Kishore Kalal, Chief Development Officer Kumar Saurabh and Regional Passport Officer Anuj Swaroop, along with other senior officials and public representatives.

To facilitate the pilgrims, GDA made arrangements for fruits, drinking water and other beverages at the venue. Officers and employees personally distributed refreshments and wished the devotees a safe and successful journey.

GDA Secretary Vivek Kumar Mishra, officer on special duty Rajiv Ratan Singh, in-charge Chief Engineer Alok Ranjan, along with executive engineers, assistant engineers, junior engineers and other officials and employees, actively participated in the programme.
