Dharmendra Pradhan accuses Rahul Gandhi of misleading NEET Aspirants, creating "fear" among youth

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of misleading NEET aspirants and creating fear among students amid the controversy surrounding the NEET-UG 2026 examination.
Speaking during an interview, Pradhan said political leaders should act responsibly when issues related to students' futures are involved. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi and the opposition had attempted to create anxiety among NEET candidates instead of helping restore confidence in the examination process.
The minister's remarks come as the opposition continues to target the Centre over the alleged NEET paper leak and examination irregularities. Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly criticised the government and demanded accountability, alleging that millions of students were affected by the controversy.
Pradhan also questioned the timing of opposition-led protests and rallies ahead of the NEET re-examination, arguing that such events could have added to students' stress. He maintained that efforts should remain focused on ensuring a fair and transparent examination system for aspirants across the country.
The NEET-UG row has sparked a political confrontation between the BJP and Congress, with both sides trading accusations over the handling of the examination process and the impact on students. Meanwhile, authorities continue investigations into alleged irregularities linked to the exam.
