Dharamshala weather forecast for RCB vs GT IPL 2026 Qualifier 1: Will rain interrupt play?

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will face Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2026 Qualifier 1 clash at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on Tuesday, with weather conditions expected to remain under close watch ahead of the high-pressure encounter.
According to the latest forecast, there are chances of rain in Dharamshala during the daytime. However, the likelihood of rainfall is expected to reduce significantly by the evening, offering hope for an uninterrupted match.
Weather reports suggest there is around a 54 per cent chance of rain at 6 pm IST, roughly an hour before the scheduled start of play. But by 7 pm onwards, forecasts indicate almost no possibility of rain affecting the game.
The temperature in Dharamshala is expected to remain pleasant throughout the evening, dropping gradually from 25°C at 6 pm to around 21°C by 11 pm.
Hourly Weather Forecast For Dharamshala:
- 6:00 PM — 25°C, 54% chance of rain
- 7:00 PM — 24°C, 0% chance of rain
- 8:00 PM — 22°C, 0% chance of rain
- 9:00 PM — 22°C, 0% chance of rain
- 10:00 PM — 21°C, 0% chance of rain
- 11:00 PM — 21°C, 0% chance of rain
If rain interrupts the IPL 2026 Qualifier 1, the match could either be delayed or shortened. In case overs are reduced, the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method will be used to revise the target.
Officials could also conduct a Super Over if required to determine the winner.
However, if the match is completely washed out, there is no reserve day available for IPL 2026 Qualifier 1. In such a scenario, the team finishing higher in the league standings will advance directly to the final.
Since RCB finished at the top of the IPL 2026 points table, they would qualify for the final if the match is abandoned without a result. Gujarat Titans, who finished second, would then move to Qualifier 2.
The much-anticipated clash between Virat Kohli-led RCB and Shubman Gill’s GT is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm IST.
