Two sisters arrested for robbing delivery executive in Delhi's Rohini

Two sisters were arrested for allegedly robbing a delivery executive of parcels after throwing chilli powder in his eyes in Delhi's Rohini area, police said on Sunday.

The accused, Nancy Singh, 26, and Gracy Singh, 20, both residents of Karol Bagh, were arrested on Saturday. Three stolen parcels were recovered from them, police said.

The incident took place around 7.30 pm on September 25 near Sector 5 in Rohini, when one of the accused allegedly approached the delivery executive posing as a customer, a police officer said.

"The woman attempted to forcibly take the parcels from his delivery bag and threw chilli powder in his eyes when he resisted," the officer said.

According to police, the second accused arrived on a scooter and allegedly struck the delivery executive from behind, causing him to fall and sustain a leg injury.

The sisters then allegedly fled with several parcels.

A case was registered at Budh Vihar police station in connection with the incident, police said.

Nancy has completed a course in fashion designing but is unemployed, while Gracy is a Class 12 dropout, according to police.
