Four killed, over two dozen injured as bus overturns in UP's Baghpat

Four people were killed and more than two dozen others injured after a passenger bus travelling from Rajasthan to Budaun overturned in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district early Monday, police said.
The accident took place around 12.30 am in the Khekra police station area after the bus hit a road divider and overturned.
According to Superintendent of Police Suraj Rai, the vehicle was carrying 32 people. Four Police Response Vehicles (PRVs) under Dial 112, ambulance services and personnel from Khekra police station reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and began rescue operations.
The injured were taken to Community Health Centres in Khekra and Baghpat, as well as the district hospital in Baghpat, police said. Those with serious injuries were referred to higher medical facilities for specialised treatment.
Four people have died so far, while efforts are underway to establish their identities, police said.
Authorities are contacting the families of the deceased and injured and providing them with necessary assistance.
