Ambedkar University to begin UG admissions from July 2

Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) will commence admissions to its undergraduate programmes for the 2026-27 academic session from July 2, with the varsity introducing several new undergraduate and postgraduate courses as part of a major expansion of its academic offerings.
Established by the Delhi Government, the university will offer admissions to 23 undergraduate programmes across disciplines in the social sciences and humanities, with a total intake of 1,194 seats.
Admissions will be based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026 scores for three-year and four-year undergraduate programmes under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Candidates have been asked to register on the university’s CUET (UG) admission portal and carefully review programme-wise eligibility criteria, admission guidelines, reservation policy, fee structure and important dates before submitting their applications.
The university has advised applicants to complete the registration process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues and regularly check its official website for admission-related updates.
The admission cycle will coincide with a significant expansion of the university’s academic portfolio for the upcoming session.
At least five new programmes are being introduced for the 2026-27 academic year, along with one-year postgraduate programmes in seven disciplines under the Post Graduate Curriculum Framework (PGCF).
Officials said the new academic session would witness the introduction of postgraduate programmes, such as MA in Creative Writing and MA in Performing Arts (Theatre Arts).
Among the new undergraduate offerings is a BA in Museology, Culture and Heritage Management, which university officials described as one of the first programmes of its kind at the university level in India.
The university is also launching a BA in Visual Arts and introducing a BSc in Mathematics, restructured from the existing BA (Honours) Mathematics programme.
The revised course will include a minor in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, officials said.
