RSS seeks strict action in Ram Temple donation row, warns against 'anti-hindu conspiracies'

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed strong concern over the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, calling the incident "extremely painful and angering." RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale urged the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct a thorough probe and ensure strict punishment for everyone found guilty.
In its first official statement on the controversy, the RSS said the incident had deeply hurt the sentiments of devotees and stressed the need to restore public confidence in the temple's administration. The organisation also urged the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to strengthen financial management, improve transparency, and address shortcomings in the handling of donations.
The RSS appealed to the public to remain calm and patient while the investigation continues. It also cautioned against what it described as attempts by "anti-Hindu and anti-national" forces to exploit the controversy to tarnish Hindu society and religious institutions.
The Uttar Pradesh government had earlier constituted an SIT to investigate the alleged financial irregularities, and several arrests have already been made in connection with the case.
