Northeast International Fashion Week 2026 concludes

The Northeast’s most anticipated fashion show and event for a cause, Northeast International Fashion Week (NEIFW), this prestigious event has consistently generated significant buzz throughout the Northeast, attracting both aspiring and renowned fashion designers and models from India and abroad to showcase their exclusive designs for a noble cause.
The theme for this year’s NEIFW was “SAVE THE EARTH, STYLE THE FUTURE,” with a focus on raising awareness about global warming and its preventions.
Apart from that, NEIFW, under fashion designer & choreographer PRASANTT GHOSH, awarded 10 personalities who are behind the upliftment of the fashion industry of Northeast India in this event. The awardees were actor Diganto Hazarika, fashion promoter Medha Saikia, fashion designer & film director Dipankar Kashyap, fashion designer Meghna Rai Medhi, celebrity makeup artist Christina Joseph, fashion educators Sumita Dey Deka & Usmita, fashion choreographers Meenu Paul, and fashion photographers Kamal Barman & Anup Baruah.
As the 10th season of NEIFW, this event serves as an exceptional platform for kids, teens, male models and ladies interested in pursuing a career in fashion and glamour. It provides a unique opportunity for young talents to showcase their skills and gain international recognition. Fashion enthusiasts from various parts of India are expected to attend, and NEIFW has established itself as more than just a fashion event but an event with a strong social cause. Previous social themes have included supporting old-age homes, promoting eye and body organ donations, and protecting the environment, in collaboration with international organisations such as PETA.
Furthermore, NEIFW offers a unique platform for collaboration with neighbouring countries and people from diverse cultural backgrounds worldwide. The primary objective of the event is to create brand awareness among the public and media associated with the fashion industry in the North East.
The event will also feature fashion accessory stalls from budding and established entrepreneurs across India. The 10th season of NEIFW has attracted a host of aspiring fashion designers from the Northeast states, as well as neighbouring countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan, in addition to talented designers from across India.
