NDMC resolves 91 grievances at monthly Suvidha Camp

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) held its monthly Suvidha Camp on Saturday at the NDCC Convention Centre on Jai Singh Road, where more than 100 officers from 30 departments addressed 91 public grievances and interacted directly with residents. The respective Heads of Departments personally supervised the help desks, underscoring NDMC’s focus on accountability, transparency, and efficient public service delivery.
NDMC Secretary Rahul Singh led the team, personally supervising grievance resolution, reviewing complaints and issuing time-bound guidelines to department heads. He stressed that citizen satisfaction must remain the core of service delivery and urged greater use of the Jan Suvidha Portal for faster, transparent redressal.
NDMC Chairman Manoj Kumar Dwivedi said the camp is a single-window platform for information, facilitation and grievance redressal, enabling direct dialogue between residents and senior officials.
He said the Secretary, NDMC, will convene the camp with the Heads of Departments and deliberate on measures to make it more effective and outcome-oriented.
“Our guiding principles are quicker resolution, root-cause analysis of repeated grievances and systemic improvements in service delivery,” he said, adding that feedback from the camp would inform a “Suvidha Camp 2.0” to strengthen citizen-centric governance further.
Most grievances related to personnel, civil engineering, horticulture, public health, enforcement, commercial, tax and estate departments. Besides registration, many citizens sought guidance on civic services and welfare initiatives.
Department heads personally supervised help desks, while matters requiring policy-level examination were discussed on the spot, with citizens briefed on procedures and expected timelines.
Alongside physical camps, NDMC continues to strengthen its Jan Suvidha Portal - a contactless online system for lodging complaints, tracking status in real time and submitting post-resolution feedback. Grievances received via official social media handles are also monitored by department heads and attended to on priority.
The monthly camp underscores NDMC’s push to bring governance closer to people through accessible, transparent and efficient grievance redressal mechanisms.
