MCC reopens NEET-SS Round 2 registration after Delhi High Court order

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has reopened registration for Round 2 of NEET Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2025 counselling after the Delhi High Court allowed petitioner candidates to re-register and participate in the admission process.
The MCC, under the Union Health Ministry, said it had withdrawn its Aug. 3 notification with immediate effect following the court's Aug. 5 order in Sunil and Another vs Medical Counselling Committee.
In a notice, the committee said the court had permitted the petitioner candidates to re-register and take part in Round 2 of the counselling. It added that the decision to withdraw the earlier notification was taken in view of the court's observations and directions.
The MCC also issued a revised counselling schedule.
Under the updated timeline, the resignation portal will remain open until 4 p.m. on Aug. 7, while fresh registration and choice filling for Round 2 will begin at 10 a.m. on Aug. 9.
The revised schedule is available on the MCC website. The changes follow the Delhi High Court's intervention in the counselling process.
