LG assures AIIMS doctors of safety, security

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Saturday assured medical students and resident doctors at AIIMS of full cooperation in addressing their concerns over safety and security, particularly those faced by women.
Sandhu made the assurance during a “candid” interaction over coffee with medical students and resident doctors at a popular cafe at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, according to a post shared by the LG on X.
“Heard their experiences of the rigours of medical education, their aspirations for India’s healthcare sector, and their concerns around safety and security, particularly those faced by women,” Sandhu said in the post.
He said the “candid” inputs of the students mattered and assured them of full cooperation in addressing their concerns and strengthening a safe and secure environment for all.
Sandhu also advised the future doctors to serve with knowledge and lead with empathy to help build a healthier country and Delhi.
