Government to roll out 300 new e-buses on July 4: CM Rekha

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday announced that the Delhi Government will roll out 300 new air-conditioned electric buses on July 4, saying the government is fully committed to environment protection and developing a world-class public transport system in the national capital. She also announced that a massive mega-plantation drive to plant 70 lakh saplings across the city will be launched on July 7.
The Chief Minister made the remarks while attending three ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan’ events held in Pitampura, West Enclave in Shakurbasti, and Mahalaxmi Vihar in Mustafabad to mark 12 years of the Narendra
Modi-led Government at the Centre.
At the Pitampura event, the chief minister joined public representatives, party workers and residents in listening to the Prime Minister’s monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat. She described the programme as a powerful medium connecting public service with nation-building and said the past 12 years under Modi’s leadership represented a “golden era of transformation” for India.
Addressing the gatherings, the Chief Minister credited the Centre with major achievements in sectors such as digital governance, infrastructure, railways, expressways, airports, defence manufacturing and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). She said the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” remained the guiding force behind development initiatives.
The chief minister said the Delhi Government was implementing key national campaigns, including water conservation through the “Catch the Rain” initiative, promotion of local products under “Vocal for Local”, and environmental protection.
She claimed development projects had been expedited across all 70 Assembly constituencies without political discrimination, with work progressing on roads, sewer networks, drinking water supply, schools and hospitals
