Security Scare In Bengaluru Explosive Material Found Near PM Modi Event Venue

A major security scare was reported in Bengaluru on Sunday after explosive material was recovered near the venue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme on the city’s outskirts. Authorities intensified security measures and launched an investigation into the incident.
According to police, two gelatin sticks were found during routine security checks near Kagalipura, close to the route linked to the Prime Minister’s visit to the Art of Living International Centre. The explosives were reportedly discovered around 3 kilometres from the main event venue.
Officials immediately cordoned off the area, while bomb disposal and forensic teams were deployed to examine the suspicious materials. Security across the route and nearby areas was significantly tightened following the recovery.
Reports said police detained a suspect for questioning after receiving information related to possible explosives near the Prime Minister’s convoy route. Investigators are now trying to determine whether the gelatin sticks were deliberately planted or linked to quarrying activity in the region.
Prime Minister Modi later attended the event at the Art of Living Foundation, where he participated in celebrations marking the organisation’s anniversary and addressed a gathering on spirituality, sustainable living and nation-building.
Police said further investigation is underway.
