Delhi Police Headquarters marks 80th I-Day with flag hoisting

The Delhi Police headquarters marked the 80th Independence Day on Saturday with a flag-hoisting ceremony. Senior officers urged the force to uphold the values of freedom, justice, equality, and dignity.
Special Commissioner of Police Rajesh Khurana hoisted the national flag at the police headquarters on Jai Singh Road and conveyed Independence Day greetings to personnel and their families. Khurana stated that the day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made during the freedom movement and the police force’s duty to protect the nation’s core values.
He said Delhi Police personnel are expected to protect citizens’ rights, maintain public order, prevent and detect crime, and respond to challenges with professionalism and competence. The senior officer paid tribute to police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.
