CM Rekha attends Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan in Narela

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday attended the grand Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan held at Comfort Zone, Ramdev Chowk in Narela. The special event was organised to mark 12 years of dedicated leadership, good governance, public service and welfare initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the country has emerged as a strong economic and diplomatic force on the global stage, while the benefits of the digital revolution, expanding modern infrastructure and people-centric welfare policies are reaching even the last person in the queue.
North West Delhi MP Yogendra Chandolia, Narela MLA Raj Karan Khatri and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister highlighted schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana and PM SVANidhi, saying they have made the lives of crores of citizens across the country more dignified and convenient.
Speaking about the development of Narela and Outer Delhi, she reiterated the Government’s commitment to strengthening regional connectivity, promoting industrial growth and improving civic amenities. She said development works worth nearly `600 crore are currently underway in the Narela Assembly constituency within just over a year, covering roads, drains, healthcare, education and public transport.
The Chief Minister said Narela is one of Delhi’s largest Assembly constituencies and had remained deprived of development for a long time. She said the present Government is working swiftly to change that. Work is progressing rapidly on eight Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, two Atal Canteens, road construction in villages, improved public transport and other key infrastructure projects in the area.
She also said the Delhi Government has purchased land worth `1,350 crore to establish a world-class university in Narela, ensuring that students from villages and rural areas do not have to travel far to pursue higher education. In addition, she said `5,000 crore has already been released following the approval of the Rithala-Kundli via Narela Metro corridor to ensure that the project is completed without delay.
The Chief Minister assured residents that local priorities such as a bypass, a foot overbridge, a girls’ college and other infrastructure projects would be taken up on priority. She said that in coordination with the Member of Parliament, the MLA, councillors and the district organisation, every development project in the region would be completed within the stipulated timeline.
Calling upon the youth, women and party workers present at the event, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta urged them to contribute towards the Viksit Bharat 2047 mission and work together to build a fully developed, self-reliant and prosperous India.
