Chaos erupts at Jaipur exam centre over delay in question paper distribution

Chaos broke out at an examination centre in Jaipur on Tuesday after candidates alleged a significant delay in the distribution of question papers, disrupting the conduct of an examination and triggering protests by students.
The incident occurred at the RPMC Prabha Devi Memorial Examination Centre, where students claimed that while candidates seated on the ground floor received their question papers on time, those on the second and third floors were left waiting for a prolonged period. Despite repeated appeals to invigilators and examination staff, the papers were not distributed promptly.
The delay sparked anger among candidates, with many alleging that they were deprived of the opportunity to complete the examination fairly. As tensions escalated, students staged protests inside the examination centre, with some reports of vandalism on the premises.
Some candidates also raised concerns over a possible question paper leak, although authorities had not confirmed the allegation at the time of reporting. The disruption has prompted demands for an inquiry into the conduct of the examination and the circumstances that led to the delay.
Officials are yet to issue a detailed statement on the incident. The episode has once again raised questions about examination management and the need for stronger safeguards to ensure smooth and transparent conduct of competitive exams.
