Bomb threat on Lucknow-Delhi IndiGo flight turns out Hoax

A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight from Lucknow was delayed on Friday after a bomb threat triggered a major security alert just before takeoff. The aircraft, carrying around 180 passengers, was scheduled to depart at 10:45 am but was halted for safety checks after a suspicious message was discovered onboard.
According to officials, the scare began when a tissue paper bearing the word “bomb” was found inside one of the aircraft’s lavatories. Following the alert, security agencies immediately launched a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft and surrounding areas, while the flight was kept at the apron and prevented from taking off.
After a thorough search, authorities confirmed that no explosive device or suspicious material was found on the aircraft. Officials later declared the threat a hoax, though mandatory security and legal procedures continued before the flight could resume operations.
The incident caused temporary disruption and anxiety among passengers, but no injuries or security breaches were reported. Authorities are investigating the source of the false threat.
