Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi says India preparing for Operation Sindoor 2.0

The Indian Armed Forces are actively preparing for the next phase of modern warfare under “Operation Sindoor 2.0,” with a strong focus on joint capabilities and advanced technology integration, according to Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi.
Speaking on India’s defence preparedness, the Army Chief said the Army, Navy, and Air Force are continuously strengthening coordination and equipping themselves for evolving security challenges and future battle scenarios. He emphasised that the tri-services are working in greater synergy to meet modern warfare requirements.
Dwivedi highlighted that the armed forces are upgrading operational readiness and adopting multi-domain capabilities, including cyber, space, and information warfare, as part of a broader transformation in military strategy.
He noted that India’s defence posture remains alert and adaptive, with lessons from previous operations shaping future planning and execution strategies. The focus, he added, is on becoming a “future-ready force” capable of responding swiftly to emerging threats.
The statement underlines India’s continued emphasis on modernisation, technological integration, and joint military operations as part of its long-term defence roadmap.
